Operation Christmas Child
Our Operation Christmas Child ministry is what we view as one of the "Serve All" parts of our ministry. It is part of our third step into becoming a part of our church family and it is a very important part of our serve all ministry. It is something that we participate in all year.
Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse in which churches are encouraged to put together Christmas shoe boxes that are sent to less fortunate children in many of the poor nations around the world. These boxes are filled with items like toiletries, small toys, coloring books, clothes, shoes, etc.
What we do as part of Operation Christmas Child is collect an item of the month which is put into the boxes that will be delivered for the upcoming Christmas. Last year we set a goal of doing 1,500 boxes, and were able to do just over 1,600. This year our goal is 2,000 ... A large goal for a congregation our size, but a goal we feel we can reach with God's help.
